Day 10: A photo of your favorite place to eat

Aight...being the foodie that I am...it's going to be favorite placeS!! :D

OMG..before i start can i share a blonde moment with y'all? ....like..you can totally judge me because I side-eyed my damn self all the way home today!
So for the last couple of days, I've noticed that my A/C in my care wasn't really working. And it's been getting progressively bad...not unbearable but it was getting there..and I was all ready to shell out money to get it fixed. Why oh blogsville did i finally check today and the little button you push to turn on the A/C wasn't pushed in?....Like I'm sure it's been weeks since it hasn't been on..just blowing warm air in my face and I was all grinning and bearing it? Wow!

Anyhoo...on to food!
Ok...I picked five of my favorite places to eat and they are mostly in the DMV area..

1. Minato Sushi...they have really good happy hours everyday from like 4-7..you can get sushi for like $3.25 and mango martinis for $4-ish i think...cheap & yummy.


 
2. Sticky Rice...also sushi..only been there once..a bit more pricey than the other place but the rolls are ginormous!...like one of the rolls is called the Godzirra...and for good reason...
ps: i'm a fake sushi eater...haven't progressed to the raw stuff yet..maybe next year :)

3. Akbar Restaurant: Indian food = yummy food...service is slow but I dream about the food for days after!..ooh oohh...and once, i saw this dude from Food Network..you know the smart guy from Ace of Cakes...the skinny little guy with the beard? I was like...cool!!

4. Yo-Cake: I'm a cupcake aficionado...I will try any cupcake when I see it..preferably red velvet. Yo-cake makes IMHO the best red velvet cupcakes I've ever had...like ever. And they sell frozen yogurt too..so you can get your cupcake topped with any flavor of frozen yogurt..mmmmmm....delicious.


5. Sonic Drive-in: Can you say...Medium Strawberry Slush with extra strawberries! Best thing Ever!! Their food is surprisingly good too!

Day 9: A photo of the item(s) you last purchased

The last item(s) i purchased....

Book 2 and 3 of the Hunger Games Trilogy (for my uncle..because I am hellbent on everybody and their uncle reading these books!)...He read the 1st one last month and I'm not going to lend him my kindle to read the other two...so I got them for him from Amazon.

PS...if you have not read the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins...erm..you NEED to!! you absolutely HAVE to..best books I've read all year..I guarantee you will love and finish it in record time..or your money back!! (unless you dont like books like that then..NO REFUNDS PLEASE!)

I also got a Heart Rate Monitor Watch and the little chest strap that goes around your midsection...apparently I've been underestimating my calories burned! Hot Dog! :)

I love this song because it's upbeat but it also has a really good message..especially I think for Mondays.
I dunno about y'all but Mondays are usually very blah for me...i feel drained and I don't feel like doing anything.
Just.Keep.Moving.One.Step.After.Another...and before you know it...you've done it!

Day 7 – Your dream wedding

Wooohooo..day 7 and going strong!
Actually, I was about to go crash...this weekend flew by damn it!


Aight..dream wedding.
Ideally, my dream wedding would be one that I do absolutely all of the planning and none of the leg work...like literally...say "this is what I want" and somebody else does it and I show up on the wedding day and BAM! perfection....all I want to do is:
1. Buy my dress
2. Taste the Cake
3. Preview the music
4. Taste the food

However, I can give you guys a more realistic version of my dream wedding....
I want the wedding to be a huge party...from the church to the reception to the afterparty.

I want an extended praise and worship session during the church service
I want the reception hall to be beautifully decorated
I want to have a separate room for the younger kids to go hang out..with babysitters and games and movies and bouncy houses and food and little beds for them to nap in when they get tired
I want the reception hall to be in the same hotel as the hotel for guests so people don't have to drive
I want an open bar
I want the cake to be moist and delicious with tasty icing (not that bitter icing or fondant stuff)
I want the food to be perfect
I want the DJ to be on point with the perfect mix of naija and non naija music
I want my shoes to be perfect as well so that I can dance the whole night without feeling any pain
I want waterproof mascara..cuz I'm already an emotional human being...of course I'm going to cry buckets...

Ooh..ooh...I want Collins Metu to be my photographer and I want my wedding video to be like a movie...

Day 6 – A photo of an animal you’d love to keep as a pet

Hi y'all,
Day six and going strong!
Me being the conventional person that I am...the only animal i would love as a pet...and am damn sure going to have...someday is this cute little bundle of cuteness right here!

It's a PUG mixed with a BEAGLE....isn't it just the cuuutteessst thing ever!!! look at it's little squishy face!! :D

I want a medium sized dog cuz i think big dogs are too big and little dogs are too small...so I think a Puggle would be just right!

Day 4 - Your favorite photo of your best friend

Shiznit! I almost missed it...I think technically I did cuz it's 12:04am...but the blog will post it as yesterday..Yippeee...

Soooooo I was thinking about this Day 4 stuff for a long time...and I was going to go into the whole spiel about  how I don't have best friends because it puts too much pressure on people to fulfill this "all in all" idea and when they fall short..which they will because we are human..then everybody gets hurt.
I dont have many friends...and I only have a handful of close friends.

In retrospect,I guess I had two really close best-ish friends...what happened? Dunno...life I guess..ppl change and move away and get married and friendships evolve...

The good thing about a true friend is that even if you don't see or talk to them for a while...at least in my case...I think about them everyday and I always send good thoughts their way and pray for them. And if they ever needed me...I'd be there in a heartbeat..in whatever capacity I can...and I hope they know that.

I'm not posting anyone's pictures cuz um...I dont wanna put them all out there...this blog did start off as "anonymous-y" :p
